Península Valdés Shore Excursion
We depart from the pier in town towards the Protected Area of Peninsula Valdes honored with the UNESCO’s World Heritage label. We will stop to enter in the Visitors Center located on the Ameghino Isthmus, where the view of the surroundings allows appreciate the two gulfs that border the Peninsula. And an interesting amount of attractive information facilitates the understanding of the characteristics of this environment.
After that, journey continues eastbound, aiming to the outer coast, facing the open ocean in Caleta Valdes. Laying on those shores, Southern Elephant Seals unconcern of our presence, continue with their regular lives, meanwhile we interpret their behavior. And the creek that embellish with a fantastic shape the unlimited coast.
In the nearby, a small Penguin Colony will captivate visitors with its enchant.
If time permits, we will visit a Rookery of Sea Lions in Punta Piramides.
Along the gravel roads, we will have the chance to enjoy the view of the natural wildlife that inhabits the plateaus of the steppe of Patagonia, like guanacos, maras, lesser rheas, tinamous, gray foxes, armadillos…
Finishing the tour, we will head back to get in the Cruise in Puerto Madryn.
