The excursion starts at the Cruise Dock in Puerto Madryn, where our guides will be waiting for the passengers.

We will visit one of the largest Magellanic Penguin colonies in the world!

We depart to the Punta Tombo Natural Protected Area. The excursions are guided by professional and local bilingual (Spanish-English) naturalist guides committed to nature and the conservation of our environment, who will provide all the explanations and assistance to our passengers.

Once we arrive at Punta Tombo, and if time permits, we will visit the Interpretation Centre which helps us to acquire a better understanding of the ecology of these charming birds.

After our staff has done the entrance formalities, we will access the path where the penguins are. This pedestrian route crosses an area with many nests and you can see very well the beach that these birds use to go looking for their food.

We will be dazzled in the middle of a multitude of these birds, which arrive every season to fulfil a fundamental part of their biological cycle: the breeding stage. Depending on when you visit us, it may be possible to witness the courtship, the incubation period, and the close care that the parents give to their chicks. You will be amazed at the endurance of these flightless birds, which walk long distances to reach the ocean in search of food and the spectacular swimming skills once at sea. During the hike we will have the opportunity to observe terrestrial wildlife such as Guanacos and Rheas.

At the end of the tour, we will return to Puerto Madryn, where, if time permits, we will take a small City Tour, visiting the highlights.

After living a day visiting one of the most important Protected Areas of the region, we will be back at the dock in time to board the cruise ship.
