SAN LORENZO Shore Excursion
San Lorenzo sheep farm is located in the Natural Protected Area Peninsula Valdés, 160 km/ 100 miles from the town of Puerto Madryn, in the Province of Chubut,
Argentine Patagonia. Along its coast we find an astonishing Magellanic Penguin Rookery with over 600.000 penguins.
The circuit stretches through a penguin transit and burrowing area. Halfway along the walkway there is an astonishing lookout over San Matias Gulf and the wide
beach used by penguins to get in and out of the water, and to rest. At the end of the trail we find the ruins of the old Sea Lion-oil Factory. Together with Magellanic Penguins, San Lorenzo offers the possibility of observing Guanacos, Rheas, Owls, Cavies and a great diversity of birds. Eventually, also Right Whales, Elephant Seals and Orca can be sighted along the walk on the Colony trail.
Back on the farm, our guests can visit the interpretation center and the traditional farm premises, and taste an exquisite lamb BBQ. We also offer other menu options, including a vegetarian menu, with previous notice.
